About KISRP
Inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable neighbourhoods.
The Kenya Informal Settlements Redevelopment Programme (KISRP) is a government-led initiative to support the transformation of informal settlements into more inclusive, safer, and more sustainable neighbourhoods.
Programme design combines community participation, tenure security, planned development, and investment in essential infrastructure and services. Coordinating institutions issue formal programme communications; this website summarises information for the public and partners and is updated as implementation progresses.
What this site is for
- Public orientation to the programme’s purpose and approach
- Transparency on pilot locations, planning maps, and partner institutions
- A channel for general enquiries (not for personal case management)
How to engage
For partnerships, media, or general questions about how KISRP works at national and county level, please use the Contact page. The programme team will direct your enquiry to the appropriate office.
For household- or plot-specific matters—enumeration, tenure, grievances, or service connections—please use the channels established in your settlement with community structures and county offices. This website cannot process individual case files.
Pilot counties & programme in practice
KISRP works with county governments and communities in pilot areas. The photographs below illustrate county partnership seals and field activities (mapping, workshops, and site coordination).
